Kristen Rajagopal is an associate in the Atlanta office. She received her undergraduate degree magna cum laude and with honors from Brown University and received her J.D. from the University of Southern California. Ms. Rajagopal has litigated federal and state court cases in Georgia and California and has represented clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings. She has lead trial attorney experience and has taken and defended numerous fact and expert depositions.
Ms. Rajagopal works with the HBS Professional Negligence and Medical Malpractice practice groups. In this role, she predominantly represents large hospital systems and their employed physicians, mid-level providers, and nurses in their defense against complex litigation. Ms. Rajagopal has experience managing all stages of this high-stakes litigation, including early valuation of cases and strategy consideration, managing pleadings and written discovery, preparing fact and expert witnesses for deposition, drafting dispositive motions, and trial preparation and practice.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Rajagopal practiced at Ballard Spahr LLP and Fitzgerald Abbott & Beardsley LLP. Her previous work focused on all aspects of commercial litigation, particularly complex business and technology litigation, with emphasis on corporate law, business torts, trade secrets, and contract disputes. Ms. Rajagopal has also assisted large financial services institutions facing government investigations and examinations and has represented clients with claims arising under state and federal lending statutes and consumer protection laws.
