Mark Maholick is a partner in the firm's Columbus office where he concentrates his practice in the areas of Transportation, Insurance Coverage,  General Liability, Workers' Compensation, Property / SIU, Retail Liability, Long Term Care and Senior Housing Industry, and Medical Malpractice/Professional Negligence.

Mark is frequently involved in various healthcare issues including risk management and regulatory compliance. In representing some of the largest healthcare facilities in the middle Georgia area, Mark has seen numerous cases from the claim stage through resolution. His growing premises liability practice includes cases ranging from common slip and falls to catastrophic injury situations.The majority of Mark’s practice involves transportation / auto-liability defense where Mark is regularly involved in litigating and trying cases ranging from the common soft-tissue rear-end collision to catastrophic injury/death.  Although Mark’s primary area of practice is in the area of transportation / auto-liability, Mark is also frequently involved in various healthcare issues including risk management and regulatory compliance. In representing some of the largest healthcare facilities in the middle Georgia area, Mark has seen numerous cases from the claim stage through resolution. His growing premises liability practice includes cases ranging from common slip and falls to catastrophic injury situations.

Mark attended Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University and graduated, cum laude. He was awarded with the Drew W. Paulk Honorary Scholarship and the Guerry R. Moore Insurance Law Award. He is a member of American Bar Association and the Columbus Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife, Mandy, are lifetime residents of Columbus.

Practice Areas

Retail and Hospitality

Mr. Maholick represents and has represented a variety of retail establishments, including but not limited to, restaurants, gas stations, convenience stores, and grocery stores. His representation of these types of establishments has involved all sorts of causes of action that range from a slip and fall to complex allegations of fraud and deceptive trade practices. This area of his practice is the fastest growing area, especially from the premises liability perspective of retail liability.
