Overview

Mike Pannier attended Davidson College in North Carolina on an Army ROTC scholarship. He obtained his law degree from Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law and served five years in the United States Army Judge Advocate General's Corp as Trial Counsel and Defense Counsel. During his five years in the Army, Mr. Pannier prosecuted and defended numerous felony and misdemeanor cases before General and Special Courts-Martial. In 1988, Mr. Pannier moved to Atlanta and joined our firm where he successfully defended clients in civil litigation for more than 20 years. In 2011, Mr. Pannier retired from the active practice of law.  He remains affiliated with the firm as a partner emeritus.

Practice Areas

Construction

Throughout his career Mr. Pannier has defended and continues to defend owners, architects, engineers, and contractors in construction litigation matters involving claims of personal injury on the job site and property damage throughout alleged design and construction defects.

General Liability

Mr. Pannier has defended corporations and individuals on many types of general liability cases during his practice including cases involving premise liability, defamation, false imprisonment, malicious prosecution, and fraud.

Professional Negligence / Medical Malpractice

Mr. Pannier's practice focuses on the defense of physicians and hospitals in medical malpractice law suits. For more than 20 years, he has tried to verdict numerous cases throughout Georgia. In those cases not resolved by trial, Mr. Pannier continues to work closely with his clients to meet their goals in a professional and cost effective manner.
