A native of Port Angeles, Washington, Mr. Jones moved to Brunswick in 1988 and graduated from Glynn Academy in 2000. After graduating from the University of Georgia in 2004, Mr. Jones attended the University of Alabama School of Law where he organized the United Blood Services Blood Drive, was active with Habitat for Humanity, and volunteered to cook hot meals at the Community Food Bank in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Mr. Jones returned to Glynn County in 2008 to join Hall Booth Smith.
Mr. Jones has drafted appellate briefs spanning a wide range of subjects including statutory requirements for experts and licensure issues.
Mr. Jones has represented contractors in commercial matters and has experience in the mediation and arbitration of these cases.
Mr. Jones is committed to helping employers avoid, resolve and prevail in employment disputes involving the full range of employment and labor issues. This includes litigation in state and federal courts and the representation of employers before administrative agencies over claims including: discrimination, harassment, retaliation, accommodation, and state torts such as negligent supervision and hiring, intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress, defamation, invasion of privacy, and wrongful discharge allegations.
Mr. Jones has represented defendants in matters ranging from slip and falls to automobile accidents to defamation. He has experience in commercial matters and has experience in the mediation and arbitration of these claims.
Mr. Jones has defended various municipalities in employment matters and 1983 claims.
Mr. Jones has served as counsel representing physicians and medical facilities in general liability and medical malpractice cases.
Mr. Jones has experience representing numerous trucking companies and drivers involved in all areas of lawsuits resulting from catastrophic traffic accidents. Mr. Jones has successfully represented companies in the following topic areas: compliance with FMCSA rules and regulations, hours of service, spoliation claims, personal injury, wrongful death, punitive damages, electronic on-board recording, on-board radar systems, and negligent hiring/training/retention claims.
