Overview

Steven D. Prelutsky is a partner in the Atlanta office of Hall Booth Smith, P.C. concentrating in the defense of workers' compensation claims and transportation litigation throughout the states of Georgia and Tennessee. Mr. Prelutsky has represented a wide variety of clients in transportation litigation such as insurers, insureds and various self-insurance funds. Whether the claim involves property or personal injury aspects, Mr. Prelutsky's experience in insurance coverage, driver fatigue, negligent entrustment, driver-employment issues, intermodal and legal issues has well prepared him to coordinate the various experts and investigators that are necessary in these cases. Mr. Prelutsky also has extensive experience in handling workers' compensation claims, including claims from transportation companies. Mr. Prelutsky is a member of Defense Research Institute, Trucking Industry Defense Association, Transportation Lawyers Association (TLA) and the American Bar Association.

Mr. Prelutsky's experience in transportation litigation includes a wide array of clients, such as insurers, insureds and various self-insurance funds. Whether the claim involves property or personal injury aspects, his experience in insurance coverage, driver-fatigue, negligent entrustment, driver-employment issues, intermodal and leasing issues has well prepared him to coordinate the various experts and investigators who are necessary in these cases that often have the possibility of huge losses.

In January 2011, Steve was elected Vice Chair of USLAW Network, Inc.'s Transportation Group and in September 2012, he was elected Chair of USLAW Network, Inc.'s Transportation Group.

Workers’ Compensation

Mr. Prelutsky specializes in the defense of workers' compensation claims for both employers and insurance carriers throughout the state. He has successfully represented his clients at the hearing level, settlement and mediation level, and appeals level.
