Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (HBS) is pleased to announce attorney Mark Wortham’s selection to the Government Affairs Committee of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber selected Mr. Wortham to serve on the committee where he is responsible for conducting legislative advocacy on behalf of the Chamber. HBS would like to congratulate Mr. Wortham on this prestigious selection.

The Government Affairs Committee interacts with local and state officials on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce. The Committee is responsible for liaising with the Mayor of Columbus, members of the City Council of Columbus, and state legislative leaders. In addition, the Committee is tasked with vetting legislation and making recommendations to the Chamber.

Mr. Wortham currently serves as Of Counsel in HBS’s Columbus office. His practice concentrates on defending hospitals, physicians, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. He has a strong background in litigation and has tried cases in a wide variety of fields. Additionally, he has argued numerous cases before the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Wortham also serves as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Georgia, representing the State in a variety of tort claims.
