In the March 2013 edition of Georgia Super Lawyers magazine, the law firm of Hall Booth Smith (HBS) will once again been recognized for its outstanding legal work as seven of its attorneys will be on the list of Super Lawyers: Alex H. Booth, John E. Hall, Jr.; Robert L. Shannon, Jr. and Rush S. Smith, Jr. of the Atlanta office, Daniel Lovein of the Brunswick office, and Anthony A. Rowell of the Tifton office. The list seeks to recognize outstanding Georgia attorneys from a variety of practice areas. HBS attorneys have been recognized on this list since the award’s inception in 2004.

Mr. Booth was recognized for his outstanding work in medical personal injury defense. Mr. Booth has been a partner in the firm’s Atlanta office for over 20 years and has extensive experience with general liability, professional negligence, medical malpractice and appellate law. This marks the fifth time that he has been named to the list of “Georgia Super Lawyers.”

Mr. Hall was also honored for his work in medical personal injury defense. This is the ninth time that Mr. Hall has been recognized as a Super Lawyer in this field. Mr. Hall is one of the founding partners of HBS and specializes in the defense of high exposure cases and also serves as National Counsel for several major insurance carriers throughout the Southeastern United States.

Georgia Super Lawyers also recognized Mr. Rowell for his work in medical personal injury defense. Mr. Rowell is a partner of HBS and the managing partner of the firm’s Tifton office. This is the third time he has been honored with this award. Mr. Rowell has an extensive practice representing a variety of health care providers and managed care organizations.

Mr. Smith earned this award with his work in professional liability defense. This is the eighth time Mr. Smith has been honored with the “Super Lawyer” award. Mr. Smith has achieved Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating for legal ability and ethics for more than 20 years. He is currently the chair of the firm’s Professional Liability Practice Group.

Mr. Daniel Lovein, a partner in the Brunswick office, was honored for his work in personal injury defense.  In 2012, Mr. Lovein was recognized as a “Georgia Rising Star.”  Mr. Lovein practices in the areas of workers' comp defense, premise liability, medical malpractice, real estate, school law, and local government law.

Mr. Robert L. Shannon, Jr., a senior partner in the Atlanta office, was chosen as a “Georgia Super Lawyer” for the first time with his work in products personal injury defense. Mr. Shannon’s practice includes complex litigation, transportation, toxic exposure, professional liability litigation, banking matters, International Trade issues, products liability, and internal investigations. He has served as lead or co-counsel in a wide variety of complex matters including multidistrict litigation and class actions in both federal and state courts.
