HBS is pleased to welcome Donna Hix as a Partner in the Columbus office. Ms. Hix is a trial lawyer who has specialized in all areas of family law and domestic relations law, from complex and high assets divorce cases, to contentious child custody matters, to child support, alimony and spousal support, post-divorce modifications, legitimation and paternity, contempt actions, prenuptial agreements and post nuptial agreements. Ms. Hix has the ability, versatility and expertise to handle complicated litigation in family law cases, as well as uncontested divorces. Ms. Hix is a certified civil law mediator and family law mediator in Georgia and in Alabama, and is an arbitrator in Georgia. 
 
Ms. Hix serves as an elected member to the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia and is the current President of the Columbus Bar Association.

Ms. Hix is a native of Georgia and has resided in the Columbus, Georgia area for over 20 years.  She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, and received her juris doctor degree from Mercer University in 1993. Ms. Hix is a peer rated “AV” with Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating a lawyer can receive.  In addition to Georgia, Ms. Hix is licensed to practice in Alabama.
