Courtney Broussard Walker is an Associate in our Atlanta office, and she defends hospitals and other health care facilities as well as doctors, nurses, chiropractors and other health care providers in a wide variety of medical malpractice and chiropractic claims.
Earlier in her career, Courtney litigated in numerous matters involving general liability, premises liability, insurance coverage and bad faith, and aviation law. She was formerly a staff attorney at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, where she worked on appeals related to employment discrimination, civil rights, habeas corpus, immigration, and criminal matters.
She was also a summer judicial clerk in Cobb County Superior Court, a summer law clerk for the Court of Appeals of Georgia and a summer associate at a law firm in Marietta. Courtney was a press intern in the Washington, D.C. office of U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson, and she was a research intern for the state-level political action committee Georgia's WIN List.
Courtney earned a Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law. During law school, she served as the Executive Articles Editor of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law, and she spent a semester studying at Oxford University.
She also holds two undergraduate degrees from Louisiana State University, where she received the highest academic honor for graduating with a perfect grade point average of 4.0. Courtney holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees, both summa cum laude, in history and political science.
