Biography

Jared Davenport is an Associate in our office in Memphis, Tennessee, and he handles a wide variety of litigation related to medical malpractice, health care, professional malpractice and ethics, aging services, general liability, premises liability, and products liability matters.

Earlier in his career, Jared worked at the Neighborhood Preservation Clinic of the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis, where he handled three dozen cases concerning blighted properties in Memphis and presented to the Environmental Court on behalf of the City of Memphis.

Jared volunteered with Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital where he provided pro bono legal assistance for Memphis CHiLD, the Children’s Health Law Directive. He worked as a law clerk in a private practice, a legal extern in the Memphis City Attorney’s Office, and a summer intern with the Franklin County Government in Winchester, Tennessee.

Jared completed his Juris Doctor from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis. He was a member on the Moot Court Board, served as Vice President of Sports on the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, Public Relations for the Health Law Society, and was Secretary of the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers chapter at the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. He was also a recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Bioethics and the Law.

He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a minor in Political Science from Sewanee: The University of The South, where he played on the Varsity baseball team. Jared serves on the Memphis Multiple Sclerosis Community Council.
