John G. Winkenwerder, Jr., is an Associate in our office in Atlanta.

He concentrates his practice on health care, aging services, professional liability and products liability defending heath care providers, professionals, manufacturers, physicians, long term care and residential care facilities in a variety of litigation and regulatory matters.

Before joining HBS in 2018, John was an associate attorney at a boutique litigation firm in Atlanta, where he represented large and small businesses as well as individuals in breach of contract, fraud, business disputes, liability, insurance coverage, regulatory matters and criminal defense.

Earlier in his career, he was an extern for the in-house legal counsel at AT&T Inc., and he was an extern for the U.S. District Attorney’s Office for the Western District of North Carolina.

John earned a Juris Doctorate from Emory University School of Law, and he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina.
