Kyle A. Schiedo is an Associate at our New York office, defending clients in a wide range of aging services and medical malpractice lawsuits and related claims.

Kyle is currently an Adjunct Special Professor of Law, at Hofstra University’s Maurice A. Deane School of Law. As an Adjunct Professor, Kyle coaches the Hofstra Trial Advocacy Association’s competitive mock trial teams. He is also Co-Editor of the nation’s first Medical-Legal Mock Trial Competition fact pattern, and continues to contribute to the Medical-Legal fact pattern development team.  As a former mock trial competitor, Kyle was honored by the New York State Bar Association for his 2015 State Championship victory.

Earlier in his career, Kyle represented clients in personal injury and criminal defense matters. He also spent more than three years as an Assistant District Attorney in the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office, where he served as lead counsel in more than a dozen successful jury and bench trials from jury selection to verdict.  As an Assistant District Attorney in the Vehicular Crimes Bureau, Kyle presented more than 100 cases to the Grand Jury on felony vehicular assault, manslaughter, attempted murder, and murder. Kyle also has civil trial experience from his admission, pro hac vice, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, where he successfully tried a complex consumer frauds case from pleadings to verdict.

Kyle earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University,  on a full academic scholarship.  While at Hofstra Law, Kyle was Vice-President and Competition Manager of the Hofstra Trial Advocacy Association.  He was a senior staff executive on the Hofstra Law Review and graduated in the top 15% of his class.  Kyle earned his Bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in Economics, and minors degrees in Spanish and Legal Studies at Ithaca College. During his undergraduate studies, he co-founded and served as President of the Ithaca College Mock Trial Team, which is now fully integrated into the university’s Legal Studies major.
