Liliana “Lili” Esquivel
Biography
Liliana “Lili” Esquivel is an associate in the Alpharetta office of Hall Booth Smith, where she concentrations her practice on general liability, premises liability, professional malpractice & ethics and transportation matters.
Before joining HBS, Lili served as a senior legal analyst at GreenSky in Atlanta, where she managed a wide portfolio of finance litigation matters across multiple jurisdictions. In that role, she worked closely with in-house and outside counsel, drafted settlement agreements, analyzed loan documents, and often acted as the corporate representative in small claims cases. She also led initiatives to enhance legal technology and improve data-driven decision-making.
Earlier in her career, Lili worked at Goldman Sachs as a Senior Litigation Analyst, where she supported both in-house and outside counsel in preparing legal documents, drafting and negotiating settlement agreements, collecting discovery, and analyzing complaints. Her work focused on litigation matters involving the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), contract litigation, arbitration, and adverse bankruptcy cases, as well as CFPB complaints and various state Attorney General investigations.
Lili earned her J.D., cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law, where she was Vice President of Communications for the Transactional Law Society and completed the intellectual property certificate with honors. She was also an Urban Fellow with the Center for Comparative Study of Metropolitan Growth. She also holds a B.A. in Politics with a minor in Urban Leadership from Oglethorpe University.
Lili is fluent in Spanish and active in several professional organizations as well. Outside of the office, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and photography. In her free time, she likes to volunteer with the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Tree Atlanta, and the Chattahoochee Riverkeepers.
