18 Sep Hall Booth Smith Adds Slade Edwards as Partner in Charleston
CHARLESTON, S.C. – Sept. 18, 2019 – Hall Booth Smith, P.C. is delighted to welcome J. Slade Edwards as a Partner in its office in Charleston, South Carolina, as the firm expands its medical malpractice and liability defense capabilities.
Edwards has more than 15 years of experience as a defense attorney, and he has tried more than 40 cases to jury trial verdicts.
He has obtained dozens of favorable defense verdicts on behalf of defendant drivers in personal injury lawsuits stemming from automobile accidents, and he has also obtained defense verdicts for physicians in alleged medical malpractice cases. His successful track record includes a favorable verdict for a carrier in a bad faith lawsuit with a multi-million dollar demand.
Earlier in his career, Edwards was a partner at a law firm in Macon, Georgia, and he formerly managed the Macon House Counsel Office for a major national insurance carrier. Edwards earned a J.D. from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law, and he holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the University of Georgia.
