Hall Booth Smith Welcomes Four New Associates in Atlanta Office

ATLANTA – March 14, 2019 – Hall Booth Smith, P.C. is pleased to welcome four new associates as the firm grows to better serve client needs. Michael V. Profit, John G. Winkenwerder, Jr., Brittanie Browning and Anthony Petrozza all work in the firm’s Atlanta office.

Profit focuses his practice on medical malpractice and professional liability, general liability and appellate matters. He was previously a staff attorney for Judge Jason T. Harper in Henry County State Court, a project attorney at an Atlanta law firm, a judicial intern for Judge Susan E. Edlein in Fulton County State Court, and a legal intern at the DeKalb County Solicitor-General’s Office. Profit holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Emory University School of Law, a J.D. from Elon University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Elon University.

Winkenwerder concentrates his practice on long term care and aging services, professional liability and products liability. He defends professionals, manufacturers, physicians, long term care and residential care facilities in a variety of litigation and regulatory matters. Previously, he was an associate at a boutique litigation firm in Atlanta, an extern for the in-house legal counsel at AT&T Inc. and an extern for the U.S. District Attorney’s Office for the Western District of North Carolina. Winkenwerder earned a J.D. from Emory University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Carolina.

Browning handles a wide variety of government liability matters. Earlier in her career, she was an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Georgia for three years in the Education, Election, Government and Judiciary section. She is actively involved in the Young Lawyer’s Division (YLD) of the State Bar and was awarded the YLD’s Award of Achievement for Outstanding Service to the Public in 2018. She earned a J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from Georgia State University.

Petrozza focuses on general liability and transportation cases. He was formerly an associate at other firms in Atlanta, a legal intern for the DeKalb County Public Defender and an intern in the office for Pennsylvania Rep. Katherine Harper. Petrozza earned a J.D. from Emory University School of Law, where he was Articles Editor for the Emory International Law Review. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina.
