Hall Booth Smith Welcomes Two Attorneys to Its Columbus Office

COLUMBUS, GA – Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (HBS) announces that attorneys Sutton Eggena and Sydney Schorr have joined the firm’s Columbus office as associates.
“We are excited to welcome Sutton and Sydney to the Columbus office,” said Paul Ivey, managing partner of the Columbus office. “They are bright, motivated attorneys who bring fresh perspectives and strong legal talent to our team, and we’re confident they will make valuable contributions to our clients and the firm.”
Sutton concentrates his practice on complex litigation, general liability, and appellate matters. Before joining HBS, Sutton gained valuable experience as a summer associate with the firm, assisting in long-term care defense and fiduciary litigation. He also completed a judicial internship with the Honorable L. Scott Coogler of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, where he drafted bench opinions and observed a range of civil and criminal proceedings.
Sutton earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Mercer University School of Law, where he served on the Mercer Law Review and was a member of Phi Delta Phi and the Brainerd Currie Honor Society. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, magna cum laude, from Auburn University, majoring in business analytics.
Sydney focuses her practice on medical malpractice and general liability matters. Before joining HBS as an attorney, she served as a law clerk in the firm’s Columbus office and gained additional experience through a judicial internship with the Honorable Stephen Hyles of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia.
During law school, Sydney participated in the Public Defender Externship for the Towaliga Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s Office, supporting attorneys in court proceedings and trial preparation. She earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Mercer University School of Law, where she received a Certificate in Advanced Legal Writing, Research, and Drafting and served on the Student Bar Association Board of Governors. Sydney holds a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in political science with a minor in sociology from the University of Georgia.
