The Missoula Office of Hall Booth Smith Adds New Attorney

The Hall Booth Smith office in Missoula, MT is pleased to welcome Samantha Van Leeuwen as a new associate. She will be practicing in the aging services, general liability, health care, and medical malpractice areas of law.

“We’re delighted to have Samantha join us,” said Elizabeth Hausbeck, Managing Partner of the Missoula office. “From her time as a summer associate with us we know the impact she will make serving our clients and community.”

During her time at HBS, Samantha has developed a keen ability to strengthen case strategies through meticulous research, persuasive writing, and clear deposition summaries that help clients make informed decisions. She also interned at several other firms, where she gained additional experience in estate planning and construction litigation. She previously served as a clinical intern at the Missoula County Attorney’s Office, where she gained first-hand courtroom experience as both lead and co-counsel in hearings, a felony jury trial, and motion practice.

While earning her J.D. at the University of Montana’s Alexander Blewett III School of Law, Samantha was active on both the trial team and the national moot court team, and she received the Order of Barristers award for outstanding skill in oral advocacy and brief writing. She also served as a teaching assistant for Legal Research and Writing, helping first-year law students strengthen their skills. She graduated with honors.

Before law school, Samantha earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice, with a minor in Honors Humanities, from Azusa Pacific University, where she graduated magna cum laude.
