Biography

Al Tailor is Of Counsel in our Atlanta office. He is a seasoned trial attorney with over a decade of legal experience who focuses his practice on criminal defense, premises liability, and transportation matters.

Al has earned a reputation for delivering results in high-stakes cases across both state and federal courts. Prior to joining HBS, Al was a senior trial attorney at a firm where he handled a full spectrum of criminal matters—from arraignments and probation revocations to motions practice and trial. He has successfully argued numerous motions to suppress and immunity motions in both State and Superior Courts.

Previously, Al also served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit at the Office of the Attorney General of Georgia. There, he prosecuted complex white collar crime, including a landmark $1.2 million healthcare fraud case in federal court. While serving in this role, he earned the 2018 United States Attorney Award.
Earlier in his career, Al worked as a public defender in both the Stone Mountain and Piedmont Judicial Circuits, where he secured a not-guilty verdict in a high-profile malice murder case and negotiated hundreds of plea agreements.

Al earned his Juris Doctor, with a concentration in litigation, from Cooley Law School and his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from York University.
