A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, Dale Slemons was reared in Tennessee. He served on active duty in the United States Air Force for 12 years, with tours of duty including Germany and the United Arab Emirates during the Persian Gulf War.
During law school, Dale worked at the Washington, D.C. law firm of Miller & Van Eaton, P.L.L.C. assisting in litigation in the communications arena. After law school, he worked for Martin & Seibert, L.C. in Martinsburg, West Virginia, and was their Workers’ Compensation Department Manager. While at Martin & Seibert, Dale was responsible for representing General Motors throughout West Virginia.
Since relocating to Georgia in 2002, Dale has continued to represent Employers, Insurers, and Third-Party Administrators in the defense of their workers’ compensation claims. His clients include construction companies, hospitals, carpet manufacturers, aviation industrial corporations, self-insured companies, and insurance companies. He has zealously represented Builders Insurance Group, Beaulieu of America, Mohawk Carpets, Phoenix Aviation, Mobis Corporation, World Airways, Kennesaw Transportation, Liberty Mutual, Sentry Insurance, Cottingham & Butler Claims Services, Gallagher Bassett Services, and the Georgia Health Association’s Self-Insured Workers’ Compensation Fund.
Dale is a nationally requested speaker on a plethora of workers’ compensation topics at conferences, seminars, and individual client events. He is an active member of the Atlanta Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section and the Defense Research Institute. He is also The American Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Sections’ Diversity Chair and will proudly serve as the Chair Elect for the upcoming year.
Dale has served as counsel defending employers, self-insurers, insurance companies, and insurance servicing agents for most of his legal career. He has represented Fortune 100 companies, most notably General Motors.
His goal in handling your workers’ compensation claim is to bring the claim to a quick resolution with the least amount of expense possible.
