Chance Holland is a partner in our Oklahoma City office, specializing in the defense of healthcare professionals, transportation companies, and national insurers. Over the last decade, he has acquired substantial jury trial experience. As a result of his rural Oklahoma upbringing coupled with the professional mentorship he received early in his legal career, he is comfortable in the courtroom and effective in presenting his clients’ defenses to Oklahoma jurors from all walks of life.
Prior to joining HBS, Chance was a partner at a premier trial firm in Oklahoma where, for a decade, his practice focused almost exclusively on medical malpractice defense. He began his legal career with a mid-sized insurance defense firm, where he represented insureds in third-party personal injury cases as well as insurers in first-party actions brought by their insureds.
Chance is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts of Oklahoma. He is an active member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, Oklahoma County Bar Association, Oklahoma Association of Defense Counsel, DRI, Luther Bohanon Inn of Court, and Lawyers Helping Lawyers, an OBA committee dedicated to providing support for Oklahoma attorneys struggling with addiction, depression, and other difficulties that affect their practice. A proud tribal member, he is also a member of the Cherokee Nation Bar.
Chance earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma and his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Arkansas. He resides in Edmond with his wife and their two sons, and is a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and former board member of the Western Foundation in Oklahoma City.
