Brandon Hawkins is an associate in our Nashville office where he practices in general liability, trucking and automobile accidents, fire incidents, medical and professional malpractice, premises liability, products liability, construction defects, insurance coverage, and other civil matters.
As an experienced civil litigator, Brandon has handled a myriad of cases since 2014 in four states—Oregon, Colorado, Utah, and Tennessee—at both the state and federal levels. He handles his cases through all aspects of litigation from inception to resolution, whether that be by trial, dismissal, or settlement. He takes great pride in zealously advocating for his clients' interests through all stages of the fight while still maintaining his professional obligations of honesty, fairness, integrity, and civility.
Brandon began his professional career as an Air Force intelligence officer during the post-9/11 period after graduating cum laude from the University of Alabama on an AFROTC scholarship. In his five years of service, he was deployed both at home and abroad with an F-16 Fighter Wing, including Operation Iraqi Freedom. After receiving an honorable discharge at the rank of Captain in 2009, he became a middle school teacher and purchasing manager for a private school system in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he was last stationed. Unable to shake his love for history and the law, Brandon ultimately decided to take the leap and pursue a career in the law.
While attending law school, Brandon worked for a local district attorney's office as a misdemeanor law clerk, where he gained trial experience at a very early level. Following graduation, he was first admitted to practice in Colorado in 2015 and served as a civil litigation and insurance defense associate within various law firms in both Denver and Salt Lake City. Seeking to be closer to his wife and family, Brandon has since been admitted to state and federal courts in Tennessee and now calls Nashville home.
When not practicing the law, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Sarah; exploring the outdoors with their Australian Shepherd, "Shiloh;" catching a new up-and-coming band; taking in an art exhibit; or simply being general "foodies" in search of the next "James Beard" winner all over Nashville.
