Charles Hackney Rollins is an associate in the Augusta, Georgia, office of Hall Booth Smith. He focuses his practice on a broad range of litigation and regulatory matters, with particular emphasis in health care, business litigation, governmental liability, construction, and intellectual property.
Before joining HBS, Charles operated his own solo practice in Augusta, where he built a robust civil and criminal litigation portfolio. His civil work included health care billing and fraud defense, environmental matters, general liability, regulatory defense, ERISA, construction, intellectual property, and contract law, representing clients in both state and federal courts across Georgia, North Carolina, Alabama, and beyond. On the criminal side, he focused on complex litigation and parallel proceedings. Most recently, he served as a Trial Team Lead at the Augusta Solicitor’s Office following the birth of his second child.
Charles earned his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he served as President of Carolina’s Episcopal Campus Ministry. After graduation, he worked as an account executive at WJBF in Augusta for five years before attending law school at the University of South Carolina.
He is a former member of the American Health Law Association’s White-Collar Fraud Subcommittee, a member of the Downtown Augusta Kiwanis Club, and teaches Sunday School at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Augusta. Charles enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Robin, and their children, Lilah Frances and Christopher.
