5th Annual Taste of Georgia
On December 8, 2012, the Fifth Annual Taste of Georgia fundraiser, organized by Hall Booth Smith, PC partner John Hall, an Honorary Consul to Georgia, and the Atlanta Tbilisi Sister City Committee (ATSCC), was held at the Atlanta City Hall. Taste of Georgia donates money and goods collected at this event to orphaned and underprivileged children in the country of Georgia.
In addition to benefitting the children of Georgia, Taste of Georgia also recognizes and applauds the work of Georgians in the United States. This year’s Annual Global Award was presented to Ambassador John O’Keefe for his dedication to of care for international committees, especially Georgia. Mr. O’Keefe currently serves as the Executive Director of the Open World Leadership Center at the Library of Congress and has played an active role in the educational institutes in Kyrgyz Republic and the Anglo-American schools in Moscow.
The local Georgia community once again prepared delicious Georgian dishes for the guests. All the Best Wines, LLC donated and featured its Georgian wines and sparkling beverages. Young Georgian dancers performed traditional Georgian dances. Local Georgian artists showcased their art, and music was provided by Papuna Kordzaiia’s band Pjazz.
HBS feels honored to continue to be instrumental in such a wonderful, philanthropic event that supports the orphaned and underprivileged children of Georgia and recognizes the Georgia Community of Atlanta.
