Biography

Megan Reilly-Dreas is an associate in our Raleigh office, focusing her practice on medical malpractice matters.

Prior to joining HBS, she was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Julee T. Flood at the North Carolina Court of Appeals as well as an adjunct professor at Elon University School of Law, where she taught legal writing and coached the moot court team. During law school, Megan was a judicial intern at the North Carolina Court of Appeals for the Honorable Jeffery K. Carpenter. She also spent one summer as an MLK fellow for Legal Aid of North Carolina, working on domestic violence cases in the High Country office.

In her previous career, Megan worked in fundraising and development for the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s HIV/AIDS capital campaigns, helping to raise tens of millions of dollars to fund free clinics. Those early advocacy experiences are what prompted her to pursue a legal education, eventually moving to North Carolina for law school, where she earned her Juris Doctor with Elon University. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California.

Outside of work, Megan serves as the Communications Chair of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division.
