Biography

A native of Lebanon Junction, Kentucky, Beth Boone practices in all areas of professional negligence and medical malpractice defense as well as fiduciary litigation, premises, trucking, and general civil litigation.

She is licensed in both Georgia and Tennessee and practices actively in both states. She has tried numerous bench trials and jury trials throughout her career. Beth has also served in litigation matters varying from automobile accidents, “slip and fall” actions, breach of contract, and real estate issues.

Experience

Aging Services

Beth has represented clients in litigated long-term care including many jury trials. Her practice includes professional malpractice defense for skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities. She has represented individual health care providers, administrators, physicians, and operators in civil litigation issues ranging from pre-suit claims to malpractice and regulatory litigation.

Correctional Health Care

As the practice’s leader, Beth has experience in representing both correctional health care companies and individually named professionals in litigation as varied as pro se inmate pleadings to professional negligence and federal civil rights claims. Specifically, Beth’s representation has included claims involving total health care, including mental health, dental, and medical actions.

She has represented such individuals and entities servicing local, state, and federal facilities in both Georgia and Tennessee and actively practices in both states.

Dental

Beth represents professionals such as physicians, nurses, ophthalmologists, dentists, and attorneys in a variety of matters including professional negligence, malpractice, and state board licensing complaints. She is also experienced with defending physician practices/professional entities and facilities such as hospitals and long-term care institutions in professional negligence matters.

Beth has successfully defended and favorably resolved matters for dentists and their practice groups throughout southeastern Georgia. Her legal, dental, and health care professional defense experience includes issues ranging from informal investigations to full board hearings and malpractice litigation.

Medical Malpractice

Beth has successfully represented doctors, hospitals, nurses, and nursing homes in medical malpractice cases. She strives to defend each client with the utmost professionalism and her representation includes litigation, licensing, and some regulatory matters.

Premises Liability

Beth has extensive experience in retail and hospitality industry claims, ranging from pre-suit investigations to trials. Her experience ranges from matters as varied as slip and falls to premises liability actions. She has successfully defended grocery stores, hotels, and restaurants in litigation involving a wide variety of issues.

Wills, Trusts, & Estate Administration

Beth has extensive experience in representing personal representatives with their fiduciary duties, as well as representing the interests of both minor and adult beneficiaries in taxable and nontaxable estates. She also has personally served as fiduciary in numerous trusts and estates involving millions of dollars of assets.

She has also litigated many matters involving breach of fiduciary duties from both the plaintiff and defense sides. Additionally, she has consulted, planned, and served in an advisory capacity to numerous clients in regards to wills and other estate planning issues.
