James M. Murphy
Biography
James Murphy is a partner in our Long Island office and practices in general liability, governmental liability, insurance coverage, labor and employment, and products liability law.
Prior to joining HBS, James served as a partner for over 30 years at a New York personal injury and insurance defense firm. There, he gained extensive experience in federal court matters regarding 42 U.S.C. Sections 1981, 1983, and 1986. He also handled a wide range of matters including police liability, employment discrimination, contract actions, and claims involving public utilities and insurance matters.
James earned his Juris Doctor from Albany Law School and his Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Oswego.
