John D. Heffling
Biography
John D. Heffling is Of Counsel in our West Palm Beach office. John has over 30 years of experience representing clients in a variety of legal counseling and civil litigation matters including business disputes, property and casualty insurance matters, construction defects, personal injury, Americans with Disabilities Act claims, and child welfare litigation.
He graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, obtained a Master of Science from Rollins College, and received his Juris Doctor, with honors, from the University of Florida’s Frederic G. Levin College of Law. John is a member of the Florida Bar and the Palm Beach County Bar Association.
Experience
John regularly advises clients on a wide variety of real estate matters including the buying, selling, and leasing of commercial property. He assists clients in drafting real estate transaction and financing documents, managing due diligence, and navigating the title and survey review process.
John has extensive experience representing landlords and tenants in negotiating the terms of commercial real property leases. Prior to joining Hall Booth Smith, John acted as a title agent for Attorney’s Title Insurance Fund.
