Kenyatta M. Thorpe
Biography
Kenyatta Thorpe is an associate in our Tifton office, practicing in general liability and insurance coverage law.
Prior to joining HBS, Kenyatta worked as a managing attorney for the MidSouth Alternate Defender’s Office, where she reorganized the process by which conflict cases were assigned and managed a caseload of over 150 violent felonies. She also served as a senior assistant district attorney in the Juvenile Division of the Dougherty County District Attorney’s Office. While there, she maintained the juvenile court for the circuit and prosecuted juveniles charged as adults under Senate Bill 440
Kenyatta earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Appalachian School of Law, where she was a member of the Employment Law Moot Court Team and president of the Black Law Student’s Association. She also was a recipient of the Little Red Wagon Community Service Award and the Anthony L. Sutin Soul of ASL Award. She earned her Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from Georgia State University.
