Rodney P. Favors, Jr.
Biography
Rodney P. Favors, Jr. is an associate in our Atlanta office whose practice is concentrated in government liability, education, and government affairs matters. As part of the education service area, he advises clients on special education law and defends school district clients in connection with claims under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Prior to joining HBS, Rodney worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable Lora C. Cubbage with the Superior Court in Guilford County, North Carolina. He also interned for the Office of the City Attorney in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he gained legal experience in local government, employment, and land use. Previously, he served as an intern for Legal Aid of North Carolina as member of the Greensboro Housing Department. Rodney also served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. As a member of the Trial Services Office, Legal Services Support Team Parris Island, he directly supported the military justice and defense sections in court-martial proceedings.
Rodney earned his Juris Doctor from Elon University and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Georgia State University.
