William A. “Bill” Mudd
Biography
William A. “Bill” Mudd is Of Counsel in our office in Birmingham, Alabama, and has over 40 years of experience in litigating complex cases. He has a wide range of experience in multiple industries and focuses his practice on insurance coverage, premises liability, transportation, and construction defect matters. In addition, he is a licensed mediator in the state of Alabama.
Before joining Hall Booth Smith, Bill was a named partner at a civil trial and appellate firm in Birmingham. He has spent the last four decades practicing law, focusing on insurance defense civil litigation in Alabama State Courts and United States District Courts.Bill is highly regarded for his industry knowledge and regularly presents at CLEs and conferences.
Bill earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Alabama, where he also earned a Bachelor of Science Economics. Bill is a member of the Alabama Alpha Chapter of Phi Delta Theta Social Fraternity and serves on the House Corporation and chapter Advisory Board. He also served as a Board Member, Board President, and Capital Campaign Director for the Greater Birmingham Humane Society for over a decade.
