HBS Birmingham Welcomes Partner Robert M. “Robby” Ronnlund
Hall Booth Smith Birmingham is excited to announce the addition of Partner Robert M. “Robby” Ronnlund, who specializes in the defense of high-exposure personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, and medical malpractice matters.
Prior to joining HBS, Robby was a partner in a small litigation boutique, where he had a broad civil trial practice. He tried cases in virtually all areas of the law, including products liability, medical malpractice, transportation, employment, premises liability, and probate matters. In the field of products liability, Robby has served as lead counsel in cases involving aircraft and aircraft components, vehicle and vehicle safety systems, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, industrial equipment, consumer products, and firearms. In the area of medical malpractice, he has gained particular expertise in psychiatric and mental health malpractice, as well as the defense of surgical, anesthesia, and ophthalmology cases.
Robby has also consulted on a number of high-profile criminal matters on issues involving firearms, forensics, and pharmacology, and he has handled criminal and administrative actions adjacent to his professional and products liability practice, including regularly appearing in front of administrative bodies in licensure actions and assisting clients with regulatory compliance matters and investigations.
“Robby and his varied expertise and vast experience make him a valuable asset to our firm. He navigates intricate cases with a composed demeanor and meticulous attention to detail. We are proud to have him join us in Birmingham,” said David Proctor, managing partner of the Birmingham office.
