Attorney Chris Manning Joins HBS Charleston
The Charleston office of Hall Booth Smith is pleased to announce that Christopher William “Chris” Manning has joined the firm as an associate. He will be practicing in business litigation, general liability, premises liability, and transportation law.
Before joining HBS, Chris worked for another Charleston-area civil defense firm for three years, gaining valuable litigation and courtroom experience in a high-volume practice. Immediately after law school, he clerked for the Honorable Benjamin H. Culbertson in the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Court of South Carolina.
Chris earned his Juris Doctor from Antonin Scalia Law School, where he served as a member of the Journal of Law, Economics & Policy and interned at various federal agencies, including the Securities & Exchange Commission. Before concluding law school, Chris attended the University of South Carolina School of Law as a visiting student.
“We’re thrilled to have Chris join our team and know he will enhance our services we offer in the Charleston office and continue our commitment to excellent client service,” said Joseph D. “Trey” Thompson, III, managing partner of the Charleston office.
