Hall Booth Smith Adds Attorneys in Atlanta, North Palm Beach
Hall Booth Smith, P.C. is pleased to announce the addition of new attorneys at its offices in Atlanta and North Palm Beach, Florida, as the firm continues to grow its litigation practice across the Southeast.
Daniel Richardson is an Associate in the Atlanta office, specializing in workers’ compensation. Before joining Hall Booth Smith, Richardson was an Assistant District Attorney in Coweta County, where he presented hundreds of cases to the Grand Jury, argued numerous bond hearings and motions to suppress and won many jury trials.
Richardson has extensive experience evaluating and negotiating complex cases through to resolution, and has defended convictions in the Supreme Court of Georgia and the Georgia Court of Appeals. He earned a Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law, graduating magna cum laude. Before law school, he taught high school math in Whitfield and Coweta counties. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Coweta County Bar Association and Sovereign Hope Church in Senoia, Georgia.
Kate Watson is an Associate in the North Palm Beach office, with a focus on medical malpractice, professional liability and general liability defense. She previously worked for a Florida-based firm, where she focused on civil litigation, and she served as staff attorney at the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County where she represented indigent residents on a variety of civil legal issues including immigration and naturalization, divorce, family law, dependency, public benefits, landlord/tenant matters, domestic violence injunctions, Social Security disability claims, sealing/expungement and guardianship.
Watson received a Juris Doctorate degree from the City University of New York School of Law and earned a Bachelor of Science in English from the University of Florida. Between undergraduate school and law school, she taught English as a foreign language in Madrid, Spain, and worked as a high school teacher in South Florida. Watson serves on the Board of Directors for the Craig S. Barnard Inns of Court and is a member of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers.
