Hall Booth Smith Adds Four Associates as Atlanta Office Grows
Hall Booth Smith, P.C. is pleased to add four new associates at its office in Atlanta as the firm expands its defense practice across the Southeast.
Danny Patterson focuses his practice on transportation, insurance coverage, employment, general liability and appellate matters. Earlier in his career, he was in-house counsel to a Fortune 100 insurance company, a judicial law clerk and interim staff attorney of Bibb County Superior Court and a fellow at the Office of the Fulton County District Attorney. Patterson earned a Juris Doctor from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Morehouse College.
Brenden P. Dougherty focuses on transportation, insurance coverage and general liability. He was previously an assistant district attorney in the office of the Fulton County District Attorney, where he worked on more than 200 felony cases. Earlier in his career, Dougherty was an assistant solicitor for the Hall County Solicitor-General, and a legal apprentice in the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office. He also clerked at a law firm in Washington, D.C., where he assisted on insurance coverage and general liability matters. Dougherty holds a Juris Doctor from the William & Mary Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from Boston College.
Katelyn K. DeRuyter specializes in premises liability, general liability and government liability matters. She was previously was an Assistant Solicitor General in Cobb County for three years.DeRuyter earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she was Vice President of the Board of Directors of the University of Minnesota Law School’s Armed Forces Association. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, where she co-founded the St. Olaf Boxing Club.
Lewis Glenn specializes in professional negligence and medical malpractice and general liability matters. Earlier in his career, he worked at the Metro Conflict Defenders Office assisting in criminal law cases, handling motions, entering pleas and working on felony cases. Glenn earned a Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree. He also studied abroad at the Cineteca di Bologna in Bologna, Italy.
