Hall Booth Smith Adds Four Attorneys to its Jacksonville Office
Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (HBS) is pleased to announce the addition of four attorneys to its Jacksonville office as the firm expands to better serve clients in the state of Florida.
Shylie Bannon is a Partner in our Jacksonville office where she focuses her practice on representing physicians, mid-level providers, and health care providers in high exposure medical negligence claims and in administrative proceedings before the Florida Department of Health. She also represents management in all aspects of employment-related litigation arising from allegations of sex, disability, race, and pregnancy discrimination, whistleblower actions, and alleged violations of the National Labor Relations Act and Fair Labor Standards act
Prior to joining us, Shylie was a partner in both a multi-state, multi-specialty firm and a boutique practice. She earned a J.D. from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law, cum laude, and graduated magna cum laude from Tulane University with a B.A. in Political Science and History.
Richard L. Lasseter is a Partner in our Jacksonville office where he focuses his practice on personal injury and negligence, defending contractors and subcontractors in a wide variety of construction defect disputes, and defending insurance agents in error and omission claims. His general liability experience includes defending retail establishments in premises claims involving slip-and-falls, trip-and-falls, and negligent security.
Rick earned his J.D. from the Florida Coastal School of Law where he was a Merit Scholarship recipient and Dean’s Scholar recipient. He also obtained a Certificate in Advanced Legal Research, Writing, and Drafting. Rick graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Valdosta State University.
Bryce McColskey is an Associate in our Jacksonville office where he focuses his practice on medical malpractice, professional liability, and general liability matters. Prior to joining us, Bryce was an Associate with another firm in Jacksonville where he focused his practice on workers’ compensation defense.
Bryce earned a J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law where he was a member of the University of Florida Association of Law and Business and the Chester Bedell Inn of Court. He graduated from the University of North Florida with a B.S. in Business Administration.
Whitley Williams-Jelks is an Associate in our Jacksonville office where she focuses her practice on premise liability and transportation claims. Prior to joining HBS, Whitley gained experience successfully representing insurance carriers in uninsured/underinsured motorist claims and insured drivers in automobile negligence claims.
Whitley earned her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law. She also holds an M.S. in Employment Law from Nova Southeastern University and a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Florida.
