Hall Booth Smith Adds New Associates in Atlanta and Jacksonville

ATLANTA & JACKSONVILLE, FL — Hall Booth Smith, P.C. has added five new associates to its offices in Atlanta and Jacksonville, Florida, as the firm continues to grow its litigation practice across the Southeast.

J.D. Easley is an associate in the Atlanta office, focused on medical malpractice, professional negligence, general liability and aging services defense. A former press secretary for the Georgia House of Representatives, he also handled communications for a congressional campaign and addressed legislative and constituent issues in Washington, D.C. and previously interned at the Gwinnett County Legal Department. Easley received a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law, graduating in the top 10% of his class and earning the highest pro bono distinction, and completed a bachelor’s in political science, cum laude, from Georgia College & State University.
Joseph M. Cianflone is an associate in the Atlanta office, specializing in general liability, products liability, professional negligence/medical malpractice, insurance coverage and appellate practice. Mr. Cianflone has extensive experience representing building owners, general contractors, corporations, and insurance companies in defending claims arising out of construction accidents and defects, premises conditions, defective products, insurance coverage and contract disputes, and automobile accidents. Before relocating to Atlanta, Mr. Cianflone litigated in the trial and appellate courts in New York, concentrating his practice on defense of catastrophic personal injury claims arising under the New York State Labor Law. Mr. Cianflone earned his J.D., summa cum laude, at Albany Law School in 2010, where he was a Senior Editor on the Albany Law Review and Sponsler Teaching Fellow.
Sandra Mekita Cianflone is an associate in the Atlanta office, with a focus on medical malpractice defending hospitals, physicians, nurses and institutional employees in catastrophic/complex medical injury cases. She previously practiced in New York with Martin Clearwater & Bell, LLP, one of the oldest medical defense and healthcare firms in the state. While at Martin Clearwater & Bell, LLP, she focused on all aspect of litigation in the defense of major metropolitan hospitals, doctors and nurses, and institutional employees in a vast range of medically complex injuries. Sandie received a Juris Doctorate and Certificate in Environmental Law from Pace University School of Law. She obtained her undergraduate degree in business/economics from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Sandie is admitted to practice law in Georgia, New York, and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Caitlin Dorné Mattler is an associate in the Atlanta office, focused on transportation, general liability, product liability, medical device litigation and insurance coverage cases. During law school, she served as the Research Editor for the Georgia State Law Review and was a member of the Bleckley Inn of Court, and she was an extern for the Hon. John Goger of Fulton County Superior Court. Mattler earned a Juris Doctorate from Georgia State University College of Law, graduating with the highest pro bono distinction for her work at the Clayton County District Attorney’s Office, where she successfully prosecuted several felony jury trials.
She received a bachelor’s in Global Politics and Economics from Clemson University, where she was a member of the Calhoun Honors College and studied in Xi’an, China.
Adam Prom is an associate in the Jacksonville office, where he practices civil litigation focusing on medical and professional liability, product liability, general liability, and business disputes. While in law school, Adam was an extern for the Honorable Harvey E. Schlesinger, United States District Judge for the Middle District of Florida.  In college, Adam was an intern for Congressman Ander Crenshaw in Washington, D.C.  Adam is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the District of Columbia. Adam earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2013, and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida in 2010. He is a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association and the Gator Club of Jacksonville.
