Hall Booth Smith Adds Two Associates as Tennessee Offices Expand
MEMPHIS AND NASHVILLE, TN – January 27, 2021 – Hall Booth Smith, P.C. is pleased to welcome two new associate attorneys in Tennessee as its offices in Memphis and Nashville expand.
Jared Davenport is based in Memphis, and he defends clients in a wide variety of litigation related to medical malpractice, health care, professional malpractice and ethics, aging services, and liability matters.
Earlier in his career, Davenport worked at the Neighborhood Preservation Clinic at the University of Memphis, and provided pro bono legal assistance to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. He was a law clerk in a private practice, a legal extern in the Memphis City Attorney’s Office and an intern with the Franklin County Government.
Davenport earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Sewanee: The University of The South. He serves on the Memphis Multiple Sclerosis Community Council.
Sam Jones works in the firm’s Nashville office, and he focuses his practice on healthcare litigation, insurance coverage, transportation, intellectual property and general liability disputes.
He was previously a legal clerk for a Fortune 500 national insurance company, where he performed legal research, conducted analysis and prepared memos for attorneys, drafted briefs and motions, assisted paralegals with discovery, and attended and documented mediations and depositions. He also interned as a marketing strategist and sales representative for an insurance agency, and was a summer associate at HBS.
Jones earned a Juris Doctorate degree at Marquette University Law School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and he holds a Bachelor of Science degree Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
