Hall Booth Smith Welcomes New Associate John David “J.D.” Dean to the Tifton office

HBS welcomes John David “J.D.” Dean as a new associate to the firm’s Tifton office. Mr. Dean, who has a background in insurance defense, will focus on professional negligence/medical malpractice, transportation, product liability, and retail liability matters.  “We are excited about the depth of legal experience that J.D. brings to HBS.  We believe his contributions, along with his community involvement, will allow HBS to continue to provide clients with excellent results and exceptional service and further demonstrates our continued commitment to South Georgia,” said W. Brent Hyde, Partner at HBS Tifton office.

Having worked for 8 years at an insurance defense firm in Valdosta, Georgia, Mr. Dean brings his knowledge and skill about insurance defense to HBS. Born and raised in Ocilla, Georgia, Mr. Dean earned a B.A. in History from Valdosta State University and was inducted into Phi Alpha Theta and Order of Omega honor societies. He also served as Number I and Province Undergraduate Chairman for the Delta Rho chapter of Kappa Alpha Order. Mr. Dean went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School. While in law school, he worked at Alston & Bird LLP. Mr. Dean is involved in a number of community activities, including coaching his sons’ various sports teams and serving as an attorney coach for the Lowndes County High School Mock Trial Team.

Starting as a one-person office in 1999, the Tifton office has grown through the years to a seven lawyers operation to meet our clients’ needs throughout the state of Georgia.
