Mark Wortham Appointed to the Local and Voluntary Bars Committee of the State Bar of Georgia
Mark Wortham, of Counsel in the Columbus office, was recently appointed by the President of the State Bar to the Local and Voluntary Bars Committee of the State Bar of Georgia. The Local and Voluntary Bars Committee administers an awards program that recognizes excellence in local and voluntary bar associations.
Mark has tried dozens of cases to verdict and judgment and has argued numerous cases before the Georgia Supreme Court and Court of Appeals and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. From 1998 until 2002, Mark was a representative of the Georgia State House of Representatives, District 39. He served as the Precinct Captain of the National Republican Lawyers Association, Georgia Chapter, Secretary from 2002 until 2006, Treasurer from 2006 until 2011, and has served as the Chair since 2011. Mark has been a member of The Supreme Court Historical Society since 2007.
