Michael Williams Joins HBS as Of Counsel

Hall Booth Smith (HBS) is proud to announce Mr. Michael Williams joined the firm as Of Counsel on September 10, 2012. In this role, Mr. Williams will focus his practice in the areas of medical malpractice, commercial litigation, and product liability matters.  In addition, Mr. Williams has extensive experience in construction defect claims involving catastrophic losses.

Mr. Williams brings over 20 years of civil trial experience to HBS. As a former city attorney, Mr. Williams has handled numerous zoning and land use cases as well as government employment matters and civil rights litigation. Mr. Williams has also represented several financial institutions and large companies in contract and commercial related litigation. He has defended a member of the board of directors of a financial institution in corporate shareholder derivative action. Early in his career, Mr. Williams tried numerous criminal defense cases and still handles civil and criminal RICO matters.  Most recently, Mr. Williams has obtained favorable results for two nurses in a wrongful death action and has obtained favorable results for physicians in several recent medical malpractice cases.
