Patrick Millsaps named Gingrich campaign Deputy General Counsel

Patrick Millsaps, former Chairman of the Georgia Campaign Finance Commission (formerly known as State Ethics Commission), and current partner in the law firm Hall Booth Smith, has been named Deputy General Counsel of the Gingrich presidential campaign.

Longtime Gingrich confidant and 2011 Republican Lawyer of the Year, Randy Evans said

Patrick Millsaps is one of the smartest, hardest-working lawyers in the country.  He brings to the campaign a full appreciation of the importance of complete compliance with the law while remaining focused on helping Newt Gingrich win the Republican nomination and the Presidency.

Millsaps spent part of last week working from the Gingrich campaign’s Arlington, VA national headquarters and is currently in Iowa for the caucus today.
