Two HBS Attorney’s named to list of Nashville’s Healthcare Leaders
Nashville Medical News InCharge Healthcare named James Looper, Jr. and Bryant Witt of Hall, Booth, Smith to the list of key decision makers in Nashville’s healthcare industry. According to the publication, InCharge Healthcare was created to, “shine a light on the people – well known and behind the scenes – who are helping drive local innovation and shaping the next iteration of the healthcare industry.”
Mr. Looper is the co-managing partner of the Nashville office and is the assistant chair of the firm’s medical malpractice practice group. Mr. Looper has a background in medicine and focuses on the defense of health care professionals and entities in professional liability suits. In additional to his involvement in the litigation of various medical legal issues, Mr. Looper advises his clients on issues ranging from HIPPA and EMTALA. Mr. Looper also assists on Hospital Ethics Committees and mental health commitment issues.
Mr. Witt is of counsel to the Nashville office and has extensive experience in all aspects of the representation of hospitals, physicians, and other health care organizations. He has substantial trial experience defending health care entities in professional liability matters and business litigation. Mr. Witt is also a member of the American Health Lawyer’s Association and the Health Law Sections of the Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations.
