Saniya Y. Pangare
Biography
Saniya Pangare is an associate in the firm’s Asheville office. Her practice focuses on appellate matters, general liability, governmental liability, medical malpractice, and professional malpractice and ethics.
Saniya represents clients in a variety of civil litigation matters, bringing a strong foundation in legal research, writing, and advocacy. Prior to joining Hall Booth Smith as an associate, she served as a summer associate with the firm, where she worked alongside attorneys on active litigation matters.
Before joining Hall Booth Smith, Saniya completed an externship with the Honorable Jimmie V. Reyna of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, where she researched legal issues and assisted chambers with pending appellate matters. Additionally, as a legal intern with the University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s Office of Institutional Integrity and General Counsel, she assisted with policy development and regulatory compliance, as well as contractual matters.
Prior to pursuing a legal career, Saniya worked as a research associate at Duke University, focusing on evolutionary genetics research. Her analytical background and attention to detail continue to inform her approach to solving clients’ legal challenges.
Saniya earned her Juris Doctor from Elon University School of Law, where she served as Symposium Editor of the Elon Law Review. She also held leadership roles with the student mentor program and the pro bono board and served a teaching assistant for the legal writing program. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Zoology, summa cum laude, from North Carolina State University.
