Drew Brooks is an associate in the Columbus office of Hall Booth Smith. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.A. in political science. Mr. Brooks also received his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law graduating cum laude in 2016. While in law school, he was on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Intellectual Property Law. He also served as Treasurer of the Student Bar Association and panel director for the Georgia Association of Law and Politics.

Business Litigation

Drew has experience in assisting and representing various corporate entities in business disputes, such as breach of contract actions or tort actions involving allegations of breach of fiduciary duty and interference with business relations.


Drew has experience in handling the legal issues experienced by the Muscogee County School District ranging from tort, employment, education rights and privacy rights, as well as administrative affairs. 

Governmental Liability

Drew has assisted in the representation of numerous local governments in defending lawsuits, including county retirement plan actions and suits brought by constitutional officers. Drew also has experience in providing legal advice and assistance in matters involving statutorily authority, employment matters, retirement and pension plans, and tax assessment issues.

Insurance Coverage

Drew has represented numerous insurance companies and their insureds in both first party and third party actions. His experience ranges from automobile coverage to commercial coverage in areas such as personal injury, premises liability, and bad faith. 

Professional Negligence / Medical Malpractice

Drew has assisted in the representation of various hospitals, doctors, and other medical providers for actions brought against them on the grounds of medical malpractice or professional negligence.
