HBS Welcomes Three New Associates to the Atlanta Office
Hall Booth Smith (HBS) is pleased to welcome three new associates to the Atlanta office: Mr. Anthony Stewart, Mr. Robert J. McCune, and Mr. David Younker.
Anthony Stewart joined the firm in September 2012. Anthony has clerked for the Honorable Richard Story with the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and for the Honorable Jason Deal in Hall County Superior Court, and has been a legal assistant at the Hall County District Attorney’s Office. An Emergency Medical Technician since 2005, Anthony has worked in numerous departments at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia over the past nine years. Anthony’s extensive practical experience in the health care setting will greatly benefit the clients he represents in the Medical Malpractice and Dental practice groups.
Before joining HBS in September 2012, Robert J. McCune was an Associate and Partner at Greer, Klosik, Daugherty
, Swank and McCune. Mr. McCune brings 25 years of successful litigation practice, primarily first and third party insurance defense litigation to HBS. Licensed in Georgia and North Carolina, Mr. McCune offers excellent counseling, facilitation, and litigation skills to each case. Mr. McCune has substantial appellate experience including obtaining remand from the U.S. Supreme Court in Thomas vs. Am. Home Prods., 519 U.S. 913. Mr. McCune’s extensive appellate experience includes preparation and/or supervision of more than 40 appellate cases. He is a registered Mediator and will be joining the Workers’ Compensation Practice Group.
Joining HBS in November 2012, David Younker brings experience as an educator as well as an attorney. David student taught as a United States History teacher at Morgan County High School where he also served as Assistant Tennis Coach. During law school, David interned at the Hall County District Attorney’s Office and the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office. After law school, David worked for three years as an Assistant District Attorney in the Griffin Judicial Circuit (Fayette, Spalding, Pike, and Upson Counties) based in Fayetteville where he successfully prosecuted many felony criminal jury trials and authored over ten successful appeals. David brings a wide-ranging amount of knowledge and experience to the Civil Litigation Practice Group.
