Insurance Coverage Attorney Christie Perrin Joins HBS Charleston
Hall Booth Smith has expanded its Insurance Coverage practice with the addition of Christie Perrin as Of Counsel in the Charleston Office.
Christie’s Background
Prior to joining Hall Booth Smith, she practiced for more than a decade in civil litigation, handling cases from inception to trial and post-trial. Early in her career, she traveled nearly weekly out of state where she represented major corporations in negligence claims. After welcoming children, Christie became more grounded to South Carolina, where she has successfully defended a wide variety of cases, including mass torts, products liability, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, road construction, trucking and transportation, nursing home defense, medical malpractice, correctional health care, and dram shop litigation.
After earning her Bachelor of Arts at an accelerated three-year pace from Florida State University, Christie received her Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans. Having moved to New Orleans post-Hurricane Katrina, she was active in Loyola’s Hurricane Katrina Clinic, where she was able to assist those impacted while simultaneously earning initial advocacy skills.
In addition, she served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate / Guardian Ad Litem as a student in Loyola Law Clinic’s Family Law Division, a representative of the College of Law in national Trial Advocacy competitions, and a Law Clerk in the 24th Judicial District Court, Jefferson Parish.
“Christie has a great reputation in her field and we are confident she will continue to thrive here at HBS. We are more than excited to have her,” said Trey Thompson, managing partner of the Charleston office.
