Atlanta Cross Owen Ezejiofo Maloney
Hall Booth Smith is thrilled to announce the addition of four attorneys to its Atlanta office. Associates Caylie Cross, Ruth “Ruthie” Owen, Misty I. Ezejiofo, and Shea Maloney join the ranks as they help further serve clients in the surrounding Atlanta area.

Caylie Cross

Caylie focuses her practice on aging services and health care matters. Formerly a summer associate with HBS, she also externed with the Atlanta Legal Aid Society and interned with the Rhode Island Center for Justice. She earned her Juris Doctor from Emory University, where she was editor of the Emory International Law Review. She earned her Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, in Public Health from Elon University.

Ruth “Ruthie” Owen

Ruthie practices in medical malpractice matters. Prior to joining HBS, she interned for Senator Johnny Isakson with the United States Senate, assisting the Health Policy Legislative Aid and Legislative Correspondent. In 2018, she gained hands-on experience in the healthcare field when she served as a nursing intern for Maitland Children’s Cottage in Cape Town, South Africa. Ruthie earned her Juris Doctor and her Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia.

Misty I. Ezejiofo

Misty’s practice spans across correctional health care, education, government affairs, governmental liability, and labor and employment matters. Prior to joining HBS, she externed with The Home Depot, where she supported multiple practice groups, including commercial litigation, commercial transactions, and general liability service areas. She previously clerked for the Honorable Christopher Sprague with the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board and for the Honorable Dorian Simons-Henriquez with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Misty also worked as a legal intern with local firms and was responsible for conducting legal research and discovery preparation for litigation cases in various practice areas and creating comprehensive contract terms for clients that were subject to negotiation with other parties.

Shea Maloney

Shea focuses her practice on general liability, medical malpractice, and transportation matters. Prior to joining HBS, she was a summer associate at a civil litigation firm in Marietta, where she assisted in the handling of high-exposure matters involving premises liability, medical malpractice, and catastrophic injury claims. During her time in law school, she worked with the Jane W. Wilson Family Justice Clinic, which provides survivors of domestic violence with direct representation as well as legal and extra-legal support.
