Biography

Nneka is a Partner in our Atlanta office, and she concentrates her practice on business litigation, general liability, professional malpractice, and ethics.

She joined Hall Booth Smith after five years at another firm in Atlanta, where she was the lead associate in insurance defense litigation and developed case strategy, managed discovery, conducted dispositions, drafted dispositive motions and pleadings, and presented oral arguments at motion hearings.

Earlier in her career, Nneka was a legal affairs extern for GMC TV, a legal extern for Gwinnett Legal Aid, and a judicial extern for the Athens-Clarke County Superior Court. She was also a senior account agent at the William Mills public relations agency and a media relations assistant at the Georgia Lottery Corp.

Nneka earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia, a Master of Arts in Media Studies from Pennsylvania State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media Arts from Clark Atlanta University. During her undergraduate career, she was a Presidential Scholar and was named to the Dean’s List all semesters, and she received a student athlete award for volleyball. She was also named to the Honors Program, served as Senior Class Vice-President, and was in the Lambda Pi Eta Communication Honor Society.

Experience

Nneka brings years of experience and insights on developing effective strategies for a wide range of insurance defense matters. She works with clients to manage discovery, conduct dispositions, draft motions and pleadings, and make oral arguments at motion hearings. She also counsels clients on business litigation, general liability, professional malpractice, and ethics matters.
