Angela G. Tompkins is an Associate in our office in Atlanta, and she focuses her practice on health care.
Previously, Angela was a legal extern in the Public Health Law Program at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where she developed papers on telehealth case law and revocation of nonprofit status for hospitals that were published on the CDC website. She was also a legal extern for the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit in the Georgia Attorney General’s office, and she had two legal internships at Atlanta law firms.
Earlier in her career, Angela was a nurse data analyst at WellStar Health System in Marietta, Georgia, and she was a nurse clinical informatics specialist, a unit charge nurse and a clinical floor nurse at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia.
She earned a dual degree Juris Doctorate with a Health Law Certificate with honors and a Master of Science in Health Administration, summa cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law. She won the CALI Award for Healthcare Transactions Law Practicum. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing, cum laude, from Kennesaw State University College of Health & Human Services, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business.
