Char Leigh Roberts is an Associate in our Atlanta office, and she focuses her practice on aging services and medical malpractice.
Char Leigh defends skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities and sub-acute facilities as well as physicians, nurses and other health care providers in a variety of malpractice claims.
Earlier in her career, Char Leigh served as in-house counsel for a privately owned national long term care provider and she brings those experiences and insights to bear as outside counsel for aging services providers.
In that previous in-house role, Char Leigh managed professional and general liability claims and litigation for company facilities in ten states. She also assisted individual facilities with their day-to-day operational and legal issues including Health Information and Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH Act) records requests, involuntary discharges, complaint and recertification surveys, internal investigations and employment disputes.
Char Leigh earned a Juris Doctorate from the Mercer University School of Law, and graduated from Mercer University, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and a minor in criminal justice.
Char Leigh is a member of Junior League of Atlanta, and volunteers in its Journey to Literacy program that promotes early childhood education by having professionals read books to children at story times at public libraries every Saturday during the school year. Char Leigh is also an active member of All Saints Episcopal Church.
